TM four-piece screw-tip, which offers longest-lasting performance in critical applications, Zeiger now offers the first advanced three-piece screw-tip valve for more affordable, best-in-class performance for general injection molding applications. The Z4 was previously named the Mallard
® four-piece
non-return valve.
Compared to typical three-piece screw-tip valves, the new
Zeiger Z3 offers longer injection molding valve life, fewer breakdowns and better value. The competitively priced Z3 outperforms all three-piece injection molding valves in achieving repeatable shot control.

Zeiger Z3 injection molding valve include:
- Precision-crafted from D2 tool steel, hardened to 60RC (Rockwell), for good corrosion- and abrasion-resistance that far outlasts the "veneer approach" of competitors' nitrided steel
- A full-flow channel design that is self-cleaning, resulting in less downtime than free-flow valves which require cleaning between runs
- Fast-installing hex wrenching flats that simplify maintenance with no specialized tools needed
